The New York Times Article titled "Student Prostest Tuition Increase" it talks about how students barricaded themselves in a classroom

Democracy now i feel did not really talk about the ramifications of such demonstrations. When the students took over the classroom cops showed up in the morning and three students were arrested. Also, this article students said that they were not only protesting the tuition increase, they were protesting other things they felt were wrong with the institution. Some of these demands could not be met, like the demand to fire Mark G. Yudof, but other could be met like. "We want them to drop charges against the protesters who were arrested in previous actions,” Mr. Kingsbury said. “We want to stop them from closing the university child care center, trying to dissolve the community studies department.”

Democracy Now i feel just introduced the story, but this article I feel really got the details of the protest and really captured the reasons why protests are occurring all over the state of California.
